I was so touched to receive this message from a high school drama teacher who shared how much their students loved performing plays from my book 22 Comedy Ten-Minute Plays!
It's moments like this that remind me why I love writing for teens! Thanks to all the wonderful teachers who bring theatre into the classroom.
"I just wanted to let you know that the students in my 12th grade English class (a very subdued group) had a fantastic time today reading three of your plays and hope to perform them in class next week. Two students who hardly ever say a word could not stop laughing as they read "Just A Trim." One is planning to become a cosmetologist, so this comedy really hit home. The other two plays, "Driving Lesson" and "Best Actress," drew similar favorable responses and laughter.
Thanks so much for making your work available to my high schoolers. They're are having a wonderful time with them".
